John: "As the president, I oversee and organise the running of the team. Before builds I make sure that there are jobs ready for students to undertake. I also help to obtain further funding for the project."
Dave: "As vice president I help to oversee the builds and contribute the the computational modelling of the car. My main role is as the liason between the team and SUES (Southamtpton University Engineering Society.) "
Keith: "I have been involved in the team for a long time, almost since the club formed, and I can offer useful advice and direction for the new development phase based on my previous experience."
Ashwin: "My job in the team is to be the first contact point for members who want to raise concerns about the team. I also deal with the mailing lists, new member intake and weekly e-mails about the build. It is my job to call committee meetings, set agendas for the meetings and to record minutes at each meeting."
Tim: "As Build Manager, I look after all of the manafacturing processes in the workshop. I also offer the team advice on the use of specific tools and technique selection. It is my duty to make sure that all work carried out in the workshop meets health and safety regulations."
Stu: "As Treasurer, I am responsible for keeping the accounts and purchasing items for the team. I also make sure we always get what we are owed, whilst attempting to raise money to support the progression of the car build. This includes looking for commercial sponsorship which is currently in progress."
Rob: "As head of development, I am working with a group of students to model the car and re-design the bodywork and other components."
Shaun: "My role in USMRT involves designing and producing all of the publications used by USMRT. Examples of my publications are posters to inform students, websites and professional brochures given to potential sponsors to try and bring in new and exiting corperate backing"
