About me

I am a Lecturer (Research Career Track) in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton since December 2012. I did my undergraduate degree at the Universidad de Málaga (Spain), then a PhD at the University of Southampton (2005), and I held postdoctoral positions at the University of Sheffield (2005-07), Düsseldorf (2007-10) and Southampton (2010-12).

I have a pure mathematics background in Algebraic Topology, although I am currently working in the interface between pure and applied mathematics within complexity theory, particularly mathematical aspects of complex networks, and topological data analysis.

I am a member of the Analytic and Geometric Methods in Group Theory and of the Mathematics in Biology and Medicine research groups, and participate in the Southampton Initiative in Mathematical Modelling.

WORKGROUP: Summer Session ZiF Cooperation Group "Discrete and Continuous Models in the Theory of Networks", Bielefeld, Aug 28 - Sep 3.
Southampton Workshop on Data Analysis, Southampton, September 18-19
SEMINAR SERIES: Mathematics and Life Sciences Interdisciplinary Seminar, Southampton, from July 2014
