Information

I spent my teaching career teaching mathematics and holding posts of responsibilities at several secondary schools in the Southampton area.

I work half time as a teaching Fellow in the Research and Graduate School of Education at the University of Southampton and teach on the Secondary Mathematics PGCE course.

Since December 2000 I have been working part-time as the Professional Development Officer for The Mathematical Association. This work includes coordinating T3 (Teachers Teaching with Technology) in England and Wales, coordinating the award-bearing INSET programmes offered by The Association in partnership with The University of Exeter and University College Chichester (supported by the Teacher Training Agency - TTA), and other opportunities offered by The Association. Recently I have been involved with writing some advice for the TTA on ICT and mathematics ICT and mathematics and some sample lessons using ICT and mathematics for the Key Stage Three Strategy (work under development).
