NBSAN is a new network of researchers in Northern England and Scotland with interests in semigroup theory and its application areas, both within pure mathematics and beyond. We have received funding from the London Mathematical Society to hold regular one-day meetings in Edinburgh, Manchester, St Andrews and York, and perhaps also occasional longer workshops.
Each meeting will feature a mix of invited research talks, expository talks and shorter contributed talks. Meetings are open to all; graduate students are especially encouraged to attend and there may be limited help available with their travel expenses.
